Summary

Our growing risk management business seeks a versatile, experienced, motivated Director of Business Development with an entrepreneurial mindset willing to wear multiple hats. The candidate will develop and implement growth strategies for the achievement of revenue goals. The candidate should have the right blend of analytical talent and business know-how. Being a team player is a must; who not only understands how to identify a new market opportunity, but also knows what it takes to lead a team forward and realize that opportunity.

We are especially looking for someone with great communication skills, as you will be expected to interact with shareholders, executives and clients on a daily basis. The candidate will be responsible for planning and executing sales, marketing and product development programs that will meet predetermined targets and increase our market share. Lastly, the candidate will be responsible for increasing the overall sales revenue through developing and identifying new business, and building and expanding the brand presence.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain a business development plan

  • Develop, maintain and grow an extensive network of relationships, with both existing and potential Fidelis Clients to grow current and future business, as well as, cultivate relationships with partners – small and large business, as appropriate.

  • Assist the Founder in the efficient and effective use of marketing resources across multiple resources to achieve growth and maintain margins

  • Build and maintain a robust funnel of leads and opportunities capable of meeting or exceeding established Business Unit sales goals

  • Contribute to the development of effective initiatives to support business strategies and plans

  • Perform market research to identify new opportunities and engage with executives to establish strategies for pursuing those new opportunities

  • Create and improve proposals for our existing and new clients

  • Provide training and mentoring to members of the business development team

Skills

  • ManaGreat leadership skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, finance, accounting or related field

  • Experience working in a business role

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Top-notch analytical skills — you must have an eye for detail

  • The ability to travel to meet clients, attend conferences and research new markets as needed
